Blue: Doubling his birth weight at 1 lb 12 oz
Orange: Doubling his birth weight at 1 lb 15.3 oz
Last night's weigh-in brought young Blue and Orange to their goal of doubling their birth weight. Both are strong and full of energy. Orange still enjoys bottle feeding, not particularly picky about where the food comes from as long as he gets to eat. Blue is more easy-going, eating when he is hungry, otherwise happy to enjoy a cuddle.
Everyone else is still gaining, but not quite to the marker yet. However I expect that at least two more will reach their goal at tonight's weigh in. Yellow has almost gotten back up to where she should be again, though she's still not herself.
And some more photos of Blue and Orange for your enjoyment.
Just taking a wee nap.
Hey, where is everyone?
Never mind, this is comfy.
Where's the party, let's go!
Taking a breather.

ReplyDeleteBlue is our fav too
Love his little white toes!
Can't wait to see him develop
It will be nice if he turns out like Cleo
Renee & of course Lydia are doing such a super job with these babies
Thanks. Yes, Blue is a cutie :) From all the research that I have done, there is no reason to expect any of the puppies to not develop fully into full-sized, healthy Wolfhounds. Every breeder I've spoken to who had had a premature litter has had the puppies grow normally, and several have gone on to earn championships and performance titles. A single "premature" puppy in a full term litter isn't the same as a premature litter.
