Two Weeks Old

It's hard to believe that two weeks have passed.  With the puppies on 24/7 observation / care it's been a challenging couple of weeks, but a worthwhile one.  They are getting so much stronger, and are eager to find Renee whenever she returns after a trip outside and a bite to eat.  Everyone's started using their hind legs a lot more, and some are even trying to get all fours beneath them.  Of course until they can see where they are going they won't get too far.

Renee's now got plenty of milk and all the puppies are off bottles.  We make sure that the littler ones get first dibs before their bigger siblings take over.  Even the smaller puppies are doing great.  But sadly the struggling Yellow finally passed away, a classic case of fading puppy syndrome.

In the meantime Red and Purple have doubled their birth weights :)

Purple: Doubling her birth weight at 1 lb, 10.5 oz

Red: Doubling her birth weight at 1lb 12 oz
