New photos

Thanks for the well-wishes.  I'm still not 100%, but am feeling a bit better.  Most of my illness is a reaction to the medications they have had me on...

Anyway, puppy-wise, everyone is doing great.  I have a few new photos for you, though they are a bit old compared to today's date, they are new to you.

These photos are from May 26, with the puppies inside.  It's funny looking at these now, particularly the one of Renee nursing them.  The puppies are SO much bigger already, and nursing is not nearly as neat.  Renee is pretty much weaning them, only rarely putting up with them nursing (and only with us intervening).

The next photos show the puppies at play.  They sound so fierce, growling and yipping when under attack.  But no harm is done.  It's all in good fun.  Renee is now trying to play with the puppies a bit outside, but she has to be careful when bounding amongst them.  They are getting big, but she's still so much bigger than them.

I also have some photos of the puppies outside from May 30.  I have introduced them to my Walker Hound, Elwood, who is very friendly and good with everyone.  Renee constantly warns him off, but he's a good introduction to new puppies.

Here are a few more photos of the puppies outside.

Everyone weighs around 10 lb now.  They are gaining so fast now that they are on solids.  We only weigh them every 2-3 days now since they are growing so quickly, and the smaller scales are quite useless at this stage.

On Wednesday I have a couple of friends coming out to help me do personality typing on the puppies.  While I have a pretty good idea of where everyone stands personality-wise, this will give me a more "measurable" way to show you what everyone is like.

My friend also has a really good camera, so we will be taking some nice conformation photos and of course more candid shots.  The plan is to post puppy profiles on everyone with conformation photos and the results of their puppy personality tests.

In the meantime, I hope you have enjoyed these photos.  I might get more before Wednesday, but I can't be sure.  We've had a ton of rain, so the puppies are stuck inside a lot, and well... seven puppies on solids = a lot of mess to clean.

Thankfully on Wednesday they will be moving into their puppy palace in the barn.  Tons of room to play, even if it is rainy.  Weather permitting they will be outside every day with their mom and sometimes friends.  Puppy buyers are welcome to come out and meet the puppies any time now, but they will be staying here until they are 10 weeks old (July 1 weekend).  We still have a couple of puppies not spoken for, so if anyone has not decided or would like one please contact me directly.
